Day 189- I'm soo excited!
I'm not sure why Anna was suddenly soo excited. I think it was because I took off her clothes. She loves to be naked! :)
Day 188- Puppy Chow
I don't know why it's call puppy chow, but really I don't care. All I know is that it is dangerous to have in our home. I rarely make it, because when I do, you can find me standing in front of this bowl, unable to stop eating. But it's JUST SOO GOOD!

Day 187- Cold Front
The words "cold front" are like music to my ears. I can't help but smile when I hear the weatherman mention it... at least in the summer. Especially this summer. Many days have been in the 90s or high 80s. We've even had a few days in the 100s. And the humidity is right up there. The result? The windows are closed, the air is on, and we hardly go outside. (I'm from the north.... I can't handle that HEAT!) But today, the high was right around 80. A perfect day for a walk!
Anna and I were both happy to get out of the house. :)
Day 186- Piano
I am very thankful for our piano. I love to play the piano, and I know how fortunate and I am to be able to play in my home, whenever I want. The piano belonged to my parents. My dad and brothers don't play, so I was the lucky one to inherit it.
Before it was my parents, it belonged to my grandparents.
It needs a tune-up pretty badly, but besides that, it's in good shape, despite all the different hands that have learned to play on those keys.
Day 185- Dollar spot
I heart the Target dollar spot. We went to a 4 year-old's birthday party today, and I was able to get a perfect gift, without spending a lot of cash. I was even happier, when we got to the party, and the birthday boy was wearing a Spiderman costume. :)

Day 181- Grocery shopping
I HATE grocery shopping. I despise it. I plan our menu for a month, so I have to go as little as possible. (I learned that from my mom, I think she hated grocery shopping, too.) However, when I come home with a ton of full grocery bags, I can't help but think of how blessed we are to be able to buy all that food. I never worry about there being "food on the table". I take for granted the convienence of the huge store just down the block. I pray that I don't take this blessing for granted. God has truely blessed us beyond what we deserve!
Day 180- Anniversary Date
To celebrate our anniversary, (a couple of months late), Dan and I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, and then went and saw Beauty and the Beast.
The musical was at an outdoor theater in Kansas City. It was great! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so I especially loved it. Dan said he liked it, too. :)

Day 164-178- Vacation
Get ready for a lot of pictures....
Our first stop was Watertown, WI, where Anna finally got to meet Greta.
The next night, we stayed with the Husbys' in Hartford. Anna had fun playing with Laila.
The next 5 days were spent in the UP. This is about as much as Anna was in the lake. I can't blame her, the water was pretty cold for a baby.
We went to Lake Superior a couple of times.
Dan was excited to show Anna the lake.
It was very windy and the waves were HUGE!
My favorite part was being able to wear a sweatshirt and jeans!
Anna loved playing on the pontoon boat.
The railing was just the right height.
This is the wonderful cabin we stayed in.
It is a great place to admire God's creation.
We then headed back to Wisconsin, where we met Uncle Andrew for dinner near Lambeau Field.
We spent a lot of time in the car... Anna was less than thrilled.
Anna had fun spending time with her cousins. Here she is with Benjamin.
She also got to see a lot of Aunts and Uncles.
We took a ride on a real paddle boat on the Mississippi River.
And Anna got to eat at my Aunt and Uncles' restaurant, The Village Inn, for the first time.
All in all it was a great vacation. We are thankful for our safe travels and thankful to be home in our own beds again!

Day 163- Back home
Phew! It was a great vacation, but after almost 2000 miles in the car, we are happy to be home. I'm still trying to recover and get back to normal today. Funny how you feel like you need a vacation after a vacation. I will try and get pics from our trip up tomorrow. Until then, enjoy this cutie. This was taken the day we left. I love this little dress. Perfect for an August Sunday morning!
