Day 162- Packing

Tomorrow, we leave for our vacation, right after church. We will be traveling to Wisconsin and also the UP. Dan and I are definitely looking forward to getting away and relaxing a bit. We are also excited to see family and friends.

It's amazing how much more stuff needs to go along when you are traveling with a baby.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks with a lot of pictures and memories!!

Day 161- Just right

Anna wanted to try out the little chair I recently updated.

It's fits her just right, don't you think?

I think she likes it!
(We'll just pretend she's smiling because she loves the chair and not because Dan was right behind me.)

Day 160- Promises

Today, as I was driving back from meeting my friends Jess and Barrett, I saw a couple of rainbows. This picture isn't from today, but from only a couple of weeks ago around the same area I saw them today. I was driving today, so I didn't think it would be very safe for me to take a picture. I couldn't help but think of God's promise and the fact that I never have to worry about him breaking any of his promises to me, most importantly, the promise of eternal life. How awesome is it that God sends us this visual reminder of his love?!

Day 159- The perfect summer dinner

The perfect summer dinner. Kansas City Steaks on the grill, corn on the cob, and home-made fries. Yum!!!

Day 158- Puffy clouds

Today was one of those days when the clouds looked like they belonged on top of a hot fudge sundae.

I wanted to run and jump right into them!

Day 157- Eight legged nightmare

Tonight, as Dan and I were watching a movie, I got up to use the bathroom. When I went in, I saw THIS out of the corner of my eye.

I HATE spiders of any shape or size, but this is by the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life. (that wasn't in a cage)

I slowly backed out of the bathroom, and called Dan to GET IN HERE!

Here's what happened next.

Day 156- Up and down the hall

One of Anna's new favorite things to do is crawl up and down the hallway. Thank goodness for baby gates!

Day 155- Stranger in the field

Today I woke up to a strange sight. This farmer was in the field behind our house mowing.

In the 2 years we've lived here, the only thing we've seen in that field are deer. It looks very wierd all mown down!

Day 151- Cruiser

Anna mastered the art of pulling up pretty quickly. She did once and was a pro, climbing on everything. Now she's working on cruising. It's mainly around this little table, but it's a start!

Day 150- Cheerio Magic

Do you know why it seems that all children love cheerios?

I have no idea, but these little things are magic. :)

Day 149- You've Got Mail

I am always excited when this movie comes on the TV.

Thankfully, it's on a lot.

Dan doesn't understand how I can watch it over and over.

But I never get tired of hearing those three little words.

You've Got Mail!

Day 148- T-bones game

Tonight we went to a minor league baseball game with a group from church.

It was fun time!

The weather wasn't too hot and we had a beautiful sunset to fill the backdrop.

And, the Kansas City T-bones won!

Day 147- Future pianist?

Do I have a future pianist on my hands?

P.S. Anna has now learned to pull up on things, so she is currently getting into everything! :)
