Day 13- A crafty friend

I'm thankful for my crafty friend Jess...

...who taught me how to make cute hats like this.

I made this hat today for Anna. A girl can never have too many hats!

Day 12- A wonderful father

I couldn't ask for a better dad for Anna. He loves her to death. He is great with her and really does a lot to help me take care of her. Even though he doesn't have a lot of baby experience, he's a natural. I can tell that Anna loves her daddy too. He usually manages to get the biggest smiles from her. :)

Day 11- Finally settled

Two years after a drunk driver, going the wrong way down the freeway, crashed into our car, we finally have settled with her insurance company. We are thankful that this matter can finally be put behind us. Dealing with insurance companies isn't fun. But more importantly, we are thankful that God kept his protecting hand over us. Neither Dan and I were seriously hurt. It definitely is a miracle, especially after looking at these pictures.

Day 10- Another milestone...

.... Anna's first tooth!! Anna has sprouted her first tooth. I tried to take a picture, it wasn't easy. This was the best I could get. It the bottom right tooth (so the bottom left in the picture).

I was soo suprised! I wasn't prepared. I didn't think she would be teething at 4 months old. So, I ran out to Babies 'R Us tonight and got some supplies. Hopefully, they will help sooth the pain. I can't believe my baby is getting teeth already! Where does time go??

Day 9- Worship at the end of the day

After a hard day, like today, I was thankful to be able to go to church and worship my Lord, sing hymns and meditate on His words of comfort and peace.

And learning how to make them myself, to save some $$$.

Milestones, like sitting up. (with the boppy's help)

Big Blue eyes.

And a happy little girl to accessorize!

Day 7- Ice and Take out

After the storm yesterday, the sun was out today, and it made the ice on all the branches and grass sparkle! I could really see the beauty of God's creation today. Through something messy, like a storm, God made everything around us shine!

Don't want to cook, nothing in the house to eat, didn't want to take Anna out... perfect night for take-out! Tonight we had take-out from my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Lee's Summit, Habanero's. It tastes way yummier than this picture looks! :)

Day 6- A wonderful home

I'm very thankful for our wonderful parsonage
that keeps our heads warm and dry.

Especially on a day like today...

That's ice on all the trees and grass and everything. Yuck!

Day 5- A healthy baby girl

I am VERY thankful today for the healthy deliver of a baby girl to my dear friends Jackie and Derek. Jocelyn Woldt was born this afternoon and mom and baby are doing great!

I don't have any pictures of Josie yet, (that's her nickname) but I have plenty of Jackie and I.

We've been great friends every since we discovered we shared the same birthday in college.

We discovered many other similarities, to the point of being scary sometimes, and have had many good times together.

I am thankful for our friendship and maybe someday our little girls will be just as close!

Congratulations Jackie and Derek! God's blessing on your growing family!!

Day 4- A warm day

A warmer day (41 degrees) in February.

We were able to bundle up and take a walk outside!

This was actually taken yesterday, but I'm still thankful today!

Day 3- Mmmm.... Coffee

Hot coffee in my favorite mug. :)

Day 2 - A good deal...

I am thankful for a good deal. This is just some of the great finds I got at a biannual sale that we have here in Lee's Summit. It's called Just Between Friends. You buy and sell gently used baby items. Really, it's just one HUGE garage sale!

Day 1- A sleeping baby...

I created this blog to remind me everyday of how truly blessed I am. I know that God has blessed me more than I can even begin to describe, but I hope that through pictures, I can daily journal about just a few things he has given me. Many of my posts will probably contain pictures of one of my greatest blessings, my beautiful daughter, Anna. For instance, today....

.... a sleeping baby is a BIG blessing! :)
