Happy Birthday, Molly Jane!

Happy 1st birthday, Molly Jane!!

One year ago, this was me and you. This make me uncomfortable, just looking at it. I had a scheduled c-section, and I couldn't have been more ready to meet you. I'm not sure how I did anything those last few weeks. 

We were a little surprised when they said, "It's a girl!" Everyone thought you were going to be a boy (although deep down, I think I knew). We wouldn't have wanted you any other way. 

We thought you looked and sounded like your big sister, Anna...

...although, it was clear right away, you were your father's daughter. :)

Anna didn't know what to think at first. She was more interested in running around the room, and eating her snack.

Daddy is becoming more and more outnumbered!

You were soo alert and wide awake during the day. Thankfully, you still slept at night.

You were reborn through water and the Word a few days later on March 13th. Grandpa Berg, Peggy, Grandma Frey, Uncle Matt and Aunt Melissa came to celebrate you becoming a child of God.

"God's own child, I will gladly say it. I am baptized into Christ!"

Anna grew to love you more and more. Now, I don't think she could imagine life without you. 

God has blessed us so richly this year. We pray for many more years of blessings with you!
